Loyalty software that does not charge per location
By Alva Chew · Updated
In short Loyalty program pricing per location multiplies your bill by your outlet count. At ten outlets, the per-location and per-login plans we checked on 1 November 2026 cost US$300 to US$340 a month, against a fixed price on flat plans. Before you sign, price the program at your current outlet count and at the count you plan to reach.
How does loyalty program pricing per location work?
Loyalty program pricing per location charges you a fee for each outlet that runs the program. One outlet pays the base price. Three outlets pay three times that. Ten outlets pay ten times, unless the vendor offers a volume discount.
The model is easy to understand and easy to underestimate. When you sign up with one café, a per-location price looks cheap. The cost shows up when you open your third and fourth outlets, often at a time when you have no spare hours to move hundreds of members to a different system.
Two related models grow the same way. Per-staff-login pricing charges for each device or staff account, and most outlets need at least one. Per-member or per-visit pricing charges by how many customers join or how often they use their card, so the bill rises as the program succeeds.
Why do vendors charge per location?
Per-location pricing usually tracks the vendor’s own costs or its sales model. A vendor that supplies a tablet, a till integration or onboarding calls for each outlet has a cost per outlet, and passes it on. A vendor that sells to large chains uses the outlet count as a rough measure of how big the customer is, and prices accordingly.
For a points program run from a phone at the counter, the extra outlet adds little to the vendor’s cost. The members, the balances and the rewards list are the same whether they are used at one outlet or ten. That is why flat pricing is possible for this kind of program, and why it is worth asking a per-location vendor what the fee pays for.
What do vendors charge at 1, 3 and 10 outlets?
We checked each vendor’s own pricing page on 1 November 2026 and priced the cheapest published plan that covers each outlet count. All prices are monthly, in US dollars as shown on the vendor’s page, before tax.
| Product | Pricing model | 1 outlet | 3 outlets | 10 outlets | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Otter Loyalty | Per location | 30 | 90 | 300 | Only for Otter POS customers |
| 7Stamp | Per staff login | 35 | 105 | 340 | Assumes one login per outlet. Logins 1 to 9 at US$35, the 10th at US$25 |
| Kangaroo Rewards | Plan tiers | 79 | 199 | 199 | Multi-location starts on the Plus plan. Location limit not stated |
| Loopy Loyalty | Tiers capped by locations | 25 | 69 | 95 | Currency not named. 1, 3 and 10 locations per tier. Contact for more than 10 |
| Stamp Me | Single location per plan | 49 | Not published | Not published | Multi-location and franchise pricing by enquiry |

What that means over a year
At ten outlets, the per-location and per-login plans above cost US$3,600 a year on Otter and US$4,080 a year on 7Stamp. Those figures are the monthly prices in the table multiplied by twelve, before any add-ons.
The tiered plans behave differently. Kangaroo jumps from US$79 to US$199 when you need more than one location, then stays at that price for as long as its Plus plan covers your outlets. Loopy’s tiers cover up to ten locations, so an eleventh outlet means a conversation with sales. A tier with a location cap is cheaper than a per-location fee at ten outlets, but you need to know where the cap sits before you grow past it.
How does per-member or per-visit pricing scale?
Some vendors price by usage instead of, or as well as, outlet count. Two examples from pricing pages checked on 1 November 2026, in the local currency each page shows:
| Product | What you pay for | Published tiers | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Square Loyalty (Canada page) | Loyalty visits per location per month | $60 for 0 to 500 visits, $100 for 501 to 1,500, $140 for 1,501 and above, per location | Square Canada |
| Poket (physical stores) | Members per store | S$42 a month for up to 1,000 members, S$60 for up to 5,000, S$150 for up to 10,000, billed monthly, 1 store each | Poket |

Square’s Canadian page says your cost depends on “your number of store locations and the number of loyalty visits”, and counts enrolling a customer, awarding points and redeeming a reward as visits. Each location is billed on its own visit count. A group of ten outlets that each record more than 1,500 loyalty visits a month would pay $1,400 a month at the published rate. Square’s US loyalty page did not show a price on the day we checked, so we have not converted these figures.
Poket’s store plans include one store each, and its FAQ asks multi-store businesses to contact the company for a consolidated plan. The per-store member cap means a busy outlet can move up a tier on its own.
The pattern is the same as per-location pricing. The more your program is used, the more you pay. That is the opposite of what you want from software whose job is to bring customers back.
What should you look for in multi-location loyalty pricing?
Use these checks on any pricing page, including ours.
Price at three outlet counts
Write down the monthly price at your current outlet count, at double that count, and at the number you plan to reach in three years. If the vendor does not publish a price for the larger counts, ask for it in writing before you launch.
Find every unit the price is tied to
A plan can be flat on locations and still charge per member, per visit, per staff login, per SMS or per transaction. Read the plan limits and the FAQ, not only the headline price. The loyalty program cost guide lists the add-on fees that appear most often.
Check that points are shared across outlets
Some plans that allow several locations still keep a separate balance per outlet. A shared balance is what makes a multi-outlet program useful to customers. Our guide to loyalty programs for multiple outlets explains why, and what to settle on reporting, funding and staff access.
Check the caps on the cheap tiers
A location cap, a member cap or a monthly transaction cap can push you onto the next tier earlier than you expect. Find the cap that you will hit first.
Check what you need to run it
Some loyalty programs only work with the vendor’s own till. If you would have to switch your point-of-sale system, add that cost and the staff training to the comparison.

If you have one outlet today, a plan with no end date lets you test the program with real customers before you pay anything. Our guide to free loyalty program apps compares what each free plan leaves out.
What does Gimify charge for multiple outlets?
Gimify is free for one outlet, then US$99 a month for unlimited outlets, with no per-member or per-location fees and one points balance that members can use at every outlet.
Questions owners ask
Do most loyalty apps charge per location?
Many do, directly or indirectly. Of the pricing pages we checked on 1 November 2026, Otter charges per location, Square's Canadian page charges per location and by monthly visits, and 7Stamp charges per staff login, which it says most small businesses run one of per location.
How much does loyalty software cost for 10 locations?
On the pricing pages we checked on 1 November 2026, ten outlets cost US$300 a month on Otter Loyalty and US$340 a month on 7Stamp Growth at one login per outlet. Flat and tiered plans cost less at that size, but some cap the number of locations.
What is the difference between per-location and per-member pricing?
Per-location pricing grows with each outlet you open. Per-member or per-visit pricing grows with how many customers join or how often they use the card. Both mean your bill rises as the program works. A flat price does not.
What should I ask a loyalty vendor about multi-location pricing?
Ask for the monthly price at your current outlet count, at double that count, and at your three-year plan. Ask whether there is a cap on members, visits, staff logins or transactions, and whether points are shared across outlets on that plan.
Is there a free loyalty program for one location?
Yes. Several vendors have a plan with no end date for a single location. Our free loyalty app guide compares them.
