Eber Alternatives: What You Pay For and What You Can Skip

By · Updated

In short Eber loyalty alternatives start with a question about scope. Eber's pricing page, checked 5 November 2026, lists four plans from US$69 to US$3,500 a month billed annually, with tiers, gamification and CRM tools across them. If you only need a points card for your own customers, a points-only programme such as Gimify is free for one outlet and US$99 a month for unlimited outlets.

What are the main Eber alternatives?

Eber describes itself on its home page as “the Retention Marketing Platform for growing brands”. It bundles loyalty, a customer CRM, messaging, gift cards, paid membership and gamification. People who search for Eber alternatives usually want one of three things: a lower price, fewer tools to manage, or a loyalty card that staff and customers can pick up in a minute.

The right alternative depends on which of those you are replacing. If you use Eber’s CRM and campaign tools every week, you are looking for another retention platform. If you mainly want customers to earn and redeem points, you are looking for a simpler tool, and the choice comes down to price and how many rules customers must learn.

We opened Eber’s pricing and home pages on 5 November 2026 and recorded only what they state. Where a page did not show a figure, we left it out. Prices change, so read the vendor’s page before you buy.

What does Eber cost?

Eber’s pricing page lists four plans. The page says all prices are in US dollars and that each monthly figure is billed annually.

PlanPrice per month (billed annually)Page description
LiteUS$69“Launch loyalty for a single outlet or online store.”
StandardUS$299Adds segment targeting, custom branding, gamification and API access
ScaleUS$999“Advanced control for multi-outlet brands.”
EnterpriseUS$3,500“Custom builds for large, complex programs.”

The page gives no separate yearly total. On our arithmetic, Lite at US$69 a month for twelve months is US$828 a year, and Standard is US$3,588. The page lists no limits on members, outlets, users or messages, so you cannot tell from it where a plan ends. It mentions no free plan and no trial. Ask Eber for the limits in writing before you compare.

What does each Eber plan include?

Lite lists loyalty points and rewards, multi-tier programmes with automated upgrades, a member site, automated broadcasts, member referral, feedback and NPS forms, POS and shopping cart integrations, limited gift cards and vouchers, a CRM with analytics, and a store terminal. Standard adds segment targeting, custom branding, promo codes, gamification and API access. Scale adds advanced points rules, role-based access and an audit log. Enterprise adds custom reports and custom member site integration.

The home page lists points, tiers, referrals and badges as its loyalty tools, and adds a Lucky Wheel, Frontdesk and WiFi among other solutions. It does not name stamps as a reward type. It does not say whether customers or staff need an app, and it does not mention Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. If either matters to you, ask before you sign.

This is a broad toolkit. For a large brand with a marketing team, breadth can be the reason to buy. For a café, a salon or a small shop with one or two outlets, the same breadth means more settings, more reward rules and more to teach your team.

How do you compare an Eber alternative on price?

Price each option at the number of outlets you will run in a year, then add anything that costs extra. A few checks cover most of the difference.

  1. What is in the entry plan? Eber’s Lite lists tiers and automation. Another tool may leave those out, and you may be happy to do without them.
  2. Is the price per outlet, per user or per member? Eber’s page states none of these, so ask. Gimify has no per-member or per-location fees.
  3. Is there a free plan you can use for real? Test a tool with your own customers for a few weeks before you pay.
  4. What happens at the second outlet? Eber’s page presents Scale for multi-outlet brands at US$999 a month. Gimify is US$99 a month for unlimited outlets.
  5. Where does the card live? Check the wallet and app details on the vendor’s page instead of assuming.

Our comparison of loyalty software with no per-location fees shows how other vendors charge as you add outlets. For other named products, see the FaveCard alternatives and Loopy Loyalty alternatives pages. If you run in Singapore, the best loyalty apps in Singapore page lists local options on their own prices.

Do you need tiers and gamification?

Eber lists multi-tier upgrades on Lite and gamification on Standard. Tiers ask customers to learn thresholds, status levels and what they lose when they fall back. Gamification adds games and badges on top of the reward. Both are an option, and both are another rule for a customer to understand before the card does anything for them.

The evidence on complexity is mixed, and we say so. A 2019 survey by KPMG of more than 18,000 consumers in 20 countries found that 60% agree loyalty programmes are too hard to join or earn in, and 55% of enrolled members use them a few times a month or less.

That survey is about programmes in general, not about Eber. It is a reason to ask whether each added feature will be used. Our pages on tiered loyalty for small businesses and gamified loyalty programs set out the research on each, and the case for points only explains why we recommend fewer rules.

What does a points-only alternative look like?

A points-only programme has one rule. The customer spends money, earns points in proportion to the amount and redeems when the balance is enough. There are no tiers to climb and no games to play, so a staff member can explain it in one sentence at the counter.

You give up some things when you choose it. You get no built-in CRM, no segment targeting and no campaign tools. If your marketing already runs through another channel, that may cost you nothing. If you use Eber’s messaging and segmenting heavily, a points-only tool will not replace them.

When should you stay with Eber?

Stay if you use the parts that cost money, such as the CRM, segmenting, gift cards, paid membership or API access, and you can name the results you get from them. Also stay if you need the Scale or Enterprise features, such as role-based access, an audit log or custom reports. Moving a loyalty programme means asking members to join again, so switching has a cost beyond the price.

Consider an alternative if you pay for a plan mainly to run a points card and use few of its other tools. Then compare the free and low-cost options at your real number of outlets and test one with your own customers.

Where does Gimify fit?

Gimify is a hosted, points-only loyalty programme. Customers scan a QR code and enter their email, with no app download, and the card lives in Google Wallet with a live balance. Staff add or redeem points on any phone, and one points balance works across every outlet. It is free for one outlet with unlimited members, and US$99 a month covers unlimited outlets with no per-member or per-location fees. Gimify has no tiers, no stamp mode and no SMS or email campaigns, so it suits owners who want the card and not the marketing suite. You can start free with one outlet.
